Stressed as hell

Hello sweet little blog! It's been quite some time since I've even updated anything on here. Fear not, I'm still alive! I am not yet completely convinced that this is a good thing quite yet but anyhow... here I am! So since my last post, which was probably forever ago, I have been in school and I was even accepted in to my school's nursing program. That being said, I am sort of overwhelmed with life in general right now. This is my second year in college and I feel that I have finally got a grasp on everything and have become 10 times better at managing my time. However, managing time becomes very difficult when there is just not enough of it. I am currently taking a total of 14 credit hours along with working and attempting to save what little social life I have left. Let's us just say it's definitely one of the hardest things to do. Whenever I finally come home all I want is to rest and forget about deadlines, tests, work, and everything all together. I don't know if it is just me, but sometimes when I have a really busy schedule I tend to just find something else to procrastinate from getting to what needs to be done. For example, updating my "blog" which I have literally abandoned for over 6 months or something. Other times I just shut down and avoid life in general...which I don't recommend, my mind goes pretty crazy after a little of that. Currently, I am on a search to find some stress relief. I feel like venting on this little blog may help but I would also like something that benefits me physically. Yup here we go, the whole "omg I totally wanna get fit and have a super hot bod and just be really happy" speech. Okay well let me just say, I have had little moments where I have tried to "get fit" and the longest I've gone is probably a little over a week. I know, it is pathetic. I just have never really been an exercise person. When I was a kid and we had to run "the mile" I would dread it and wonder why the horrible teachers/coaches would force us to do such a terrible thing. Luckily, my metabolism's always been pretty decent and it was virtually impossible for me to gain weight as a child, and even throughout high school. I mean yes I gained weight as I grew obviously, but I was pretty much a twig up until around junior year. That's about when I started realizing I was actually gaining more than the norm. This didn't really phase me though, but now I'm in college and I have definitely gained weight since starting. I also feel extremely sluggish and tired all the time. I blame my stress for half and my terrible diet/fitness for the other half. This post is probably just all over the place and ranty but who doesn't like a good rant every now and then... besides, when I came up with the name beautiful introspection it was with the intention of releasing what I had inside, and discovering myself along that journey. So here it is! Let's see how long before I update again....

A little shopping affair..

Today I went shopping and bought quite a few things so I decided, why not make a blog post about these!? So obviously I don't have the time to post as much as I'd like but I'm trying! So if anyone actually reads thanks! If not, awesome! So anyway let us begin with dah rings, my precious *creepy voice*.
So I've been loving the stacking rings trend (which has been around for a while now) but I just can't help myself. These are all from Forever 21 the first set is two bar rings with studs lining the top, and another smaller one that fits the very top of my pinky. The next  ring, with wings, I found intriguing but I honesty did not think I would like it as much as I did when I first picked it up. However, it's super cute and I love it! Last but not least is the bow ring which was only $1.80! The other two were $4.80 but all jewelry was 30% off so I roughly spent about $8.00 on all three. Who doesn't love a little discount!

The next piece of jewelry I got recently bought is a cute bracelet with a big bow on it to add to the collection. Here is a picture of me actually wearing it styled with an outfit
Now for the clothes! By the way the shirt above is from Maurice's and the pants are American Eagle!
Let's start with the basics:
While I was at Forever 21, I came across a table of cami-tops for only $1.80!! So of course, I grabbed three basic colors because you can never have enough of these! At least I can't, that is.

This next top I just found to be so incredibly cute! To start with the cutout design and buttons are on the back, rather than the front. It is a nice, loose fitting transparent top. The buttons have gold lining while, as you can see, the lining of the shirt is a really pretty light pink color. The flowers are all dotted with a variety of colors. The cutout design paired with the colors just reminds me of Easter! Let me explain, the eggs decorated with Easter tend to have that zigzag design which I somehow connected to the cutout design on this shirt. Overall I think this is probably one of my favorite clothing buys of the day! This shirt is from Papaya.

This is an American Rag jacket from Macy's and the color is a very soft pastel pink, almost beige color. I really love the design and I can't wait to style this piece!!

This next piece is a little knitted, loose fitting shirt, which tightens at the bottom. I really like this style for some reason. the sides of the sleeves is lined with lace, which adds to the beauty of it! It's a simple, easy to wear shirt, I think. This top was also from Macy's.

This scarf I bought at a local store named Trendy You! I really love the colors and it is printed with crosses all over. This is another piece I am super excited to style!

NOW FOR THE MAKEUP FUN!

Iv'e heard a lot about these two drugstore palettes so I decided to give them a try! I got the wet n wild Comfort Zone and the Walking on Eggshells. I also bought milani's luminoso and eye  primer but forgot to take pictures. I definatley plan on doing swatches and reviews though!

I also was forced to repurchase my naked basics because my first one  fell and broke the last three colors complete and was just left a complete mess. I really love these colors and they are all really easy to wear, for the most part!

AND NOW FOR THE BEST PART: THE NAKED3 Palette AT LAST !

I was not expecting to get this baby today but  we were at sephora and it was there, calling out to me so I obviously said "okay baby, "I'll care of  you", and we lived happily ever after. But seriously, I'm so happy I got it!!! Expect swatches and looks in the future from this!!
Okay that was my super ultra long haul if anyone actually stuck around, YOU ARE AWESOME! And thanks! ♥Anahi,, MWAH!!

February Favorites!

Okay so what I have been lovin' this month? So obviously, since it is the month of love and all, I've been loving my awesome boyfriend, Omar! Of course, I don't or won't just love him this month but I thought it was somewhat reasonable to add him considering it was valentine's day this month and all. Usually I'm an opposer of the hallmark holiday, but why the hell not? (no offense to anyone by the way!) So me and my boyfriend have been together for about 2 years and half now and it's been pretty great! This Valentine's we kept it pretty simple, stayed home played video games and only went out to grab some food. Here's some pics of my honey and I this month:

My favorite drink this month has DEFINITELY been the Starbucks Iced Caramel Macchiato! It is so delicious!!! I personally, am a caramel lover and totally prefer it over chocolate, better yet with chocolate, yum! I always use it as a topping for my fro-yo and other yummy treats. So naturally I love Caramel flavored Starbucks, yeah I'm that girl. Anyway, this stuff is seriously great if you're in to the caramel flavored drinks I would so recommend this! Not to mention, the thing looks amazing!
My favorite quote this month has been the following:
I actually took and edited this picture myself. I found this quote early this week when wasting my life doing nothing and procrastinating (my area of expertise by the way). I was sitting watching criminal minds re-runs, and if you watch the show you probably know they always have really wise quotes at the end of pretty much all their episodes. As soon as this one was said, it immediatley struck out to me. It's probably because I tend to get caught in tiny problems which I turn in to giant situations. These troubles always seem to get the best of me and consume my life, disrupting from productive, positive thoughts. When I get out of that strange mojo, or work past the situation, I always find myself wondering why I made it such a big deal, wishing I hadn't in the first place. Whenever I do get to caught up in these things I tend to forget the good things that are going on all around me and miss amazing experiences because I can't give myself 100 percent due to worrying about little things that shouldn't be interfering with my everyday life. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who can get a use of this quote every now and then. So next time you see yourself facing a terrible situation and you just can't find the door, remember, it won't last forever, don't pain yourself more than you should.

Another thing I've really enjoyed this month is going to the park. What? In this winter weather?? Well yeah, I live in a small town in North Georgia where one day it snows, and the next to have beautiful weather in the high 60's maybe even 70's, that's Georgia weather. So a couple of weeks ago we had a few days, well recently at least one day of each week has been fairly beautiful. Whatever point is, I visited the park about three of those beautiful days this month and it was marvelous! On one of these occasions, my boyfriend and I went to get some food after church and hide a nice picnic out there. After we ate we walked around, played with a bouncy ball we strangely happened to have, and even played pretend after a while. There was even a point where I was a princess and he was my faithful knight who had to do as I say. Being the awesome boyfriend he is, he played right along and got himself a sword and shield! (a stick and acorn)  It was pretty funny, but super cute here are some pictures..

After the Park that same day we went to watch my still, oh so favorite movie, Frozen! That is hands down one of the most magical, beautiful movies I have watched in so long; simply watching it makes me happy. I will actually write a whole post on that movie because it is just that awesome.

My favorite candle this month has been my Villa Bergamot from Bath and Body Works! I initially got it because it has that sort of dreamy male  cologne smell. I don't know why I would want that in my room, but I do and I love it! it smells super yummy and kinda sexy, honestly. However after burning it to long the smell may get a little intense so beware if you aren't really in to that this candle was from some sort of Italian collection that had many scents inspired by the beautiful country.  It's described as a citrus blend with some lavender and geranium. I always like to burn it when sitting doing homework or reading, I find it extremely  comforting and relaxing.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries and Nutella Crepes Galore!(except not really)

So it's Friday night and per usual my boyfriend and I go out for a typical movie date. We stop at steak n' shake for some food before the movie. I have been craving two things, well more than two but they just happened to have these on the menu, chocolate covered strawberry shake and nutella crepes. MAJOR YUMYUMS!!! So obviously, being the fatty I am, I order both; accompanied by my Western BBQ n' Bacon burger and fries. Yes I need to eat way more healthy, I know. So the first thing to arrive was my milkshake. Note the name Chocolate Covered Strawberry, this was not the first time I had ordered this shake and I knew exactly what to expect. A thick, delicious layer of chocolate over the top. Unfortunately, there was barely any chocolate, however the shake was still great and I definitely did not regret my order. Here is a picture of it!

The next to arrive was my amazing western BBQ n' Bacon Burger. This is like my go to and favorite thing to order when I come here. It never seizes to excite my taste buds. The one thing that I would say is wrong about it is the onion, which is not fried, that is added. There is fried onion crisps and also actual lightly sauteed onion, I believe. That, of course, you can ask to be taken off but I usually forget. Overall, it was still great and I finished every last bite!
A little too much onion for my taste
And let's not forget the fries with that awesome seasoning!

After the main course came dessert, and of course, I was so excited, I could hardly contain myself!! I was going to have a le crepe, a la nutella. YUMMMM I patiently waited, but I will say I was slightly disappointed when i realized my "crepe" was actually a flour tortilla. It was literally a tortilla with nutella inside. like what. I can do that at home thanks. I mean it was only 99 cents.. so I can't say I could complain too much. And looking back at the menu, it did say "tortilla". My question is why not call them nutella tacos I mean hello, how dare you fool me that way!! Either way all in all, I had a good time, our waitress was super kind and everything was delicious! I just wish I had one in my home town.. along with a movie theater.. yes my town is THAT small. So anyway after the lunch/dinner date we went to watch Endless Love, which I actually reviewed in my other blog, or will be soon, if you're interested. It's not all that great and I pretty much just explain what happened but I mean, it's a start! So that was my Friday night/typical date night, what's yours?!! Make sure to comment and Thanks for stopping by!!

Let us make magic

Welcome to my blog! Here you will find a series of random posts, which will hopefully be of some help or entertainment to you. I honestly can't say I will stick to one topic in particular, considering my change in mood and style on almost a regular basis. I will warn you, this blog may be very random at times. There are possibilities of makeup reviews, tutorials, cosmetics, clothing, personal stories, all sorts of things. One thing is certain, it will be me, and all my honest thoughts. But who knows, maybe someone out there will read and actually enjoy it! If so, I'd love for you to stick around and even give me feedback, if you'd like. I am extremely new at this but I have been following other blogs and vloggers throughout the internet and have always thought it a possibility of starting one myself. Although I do not see my life as being particularly interesting, I think it is worth a shot. Besides, this will probably be fun to look back at and see how I grow throughout the years. So why the name "Beautiful Introspection"? Well, with all honesty, I'm at a point in my life where I'm uncertain of where my life is heading and whether I am making the right choices for my future. I wonder where I will end up and if my life has meaning to it almost everyday. I'm on search within myself to find out who I am, most importantly, who I want to become. Feel free to follow me on this journey of life & thanks for stopping by beautiful!
